Stardust
05:52
|
|||
We are born of stardust
And from the ash of time we grow
A billion billion combinations
Into everything we will ever know
As do the sands of time I flow
Into this shattered iteration
Of what I was and what I am to be
As everything changed within me
I remember Heaven scented memories
Of the way it was before
Every sun will die, burned to stardust
A Universe in darkness evermore
I searched for salient reasons
Was there a purpose to this Dark Flow?
Between galactic seasons
The seeds of decay will grow into everything
From the death of stars
All life begins
Emergent patterns
Devastation to beatific form
From stardust on the cosmic wind
We are reborn
Molecular resurrection
From the skeletons of creation
Constructed of stardust
We are fundamentally the same
The dispersing corpses of exploded stars
We are the life inside that remains
And in my mind’s eye
I am running out of time
As everything changes
In hindsight
I rearrange the lines
With graphic clarity
I understand something of nothing
And the struggle to remain
In a cosmos burned away
Eviscerating entropy
And a tolerance to the pain
Of non-existence
In the interim
I will strive for brief excellence
Nothing real lasts forever
And all things shall likewise pass away
So in the here and now we endeavor
Until the heavens are blown away
Into fragmentary stardust
We are forlorn as stardust
Flung into the deep cold
Unless we strive for immaculate purpose
With unique potential untold

The Other Side of Time
05:30
|
|||
Bejeweled in killing rhymes
I taste the poison on your eloquent tongues
Your sentimental sophistry
Spans centuries
Across the arc of time
We danced between millennia
An enchanted pairing ablating divinity
But then I fell from grace
Beneath the light of an ancient sun
I still have the scars
Our World Lines deconverged
Disintegrated telemetries
Lost amid fallen stars
Waltzing through a lurid mayhem
Obligatory accolades denied
Let us cut to the chase
I would follow you forever
Through maelstroms of pain and pleasure
But I cannot keep this pace
You could have waited for me
I'm lost in a DREAM
Of merging with you
Daydreaming demons fail to thrive
In this tepid topography
So we're lacerating Archangels
With sharp fears of separation
I AM the only one to feed your need
Through the eons that you bleed
For the sake of change
You have accelerated beyond
My Light Horizon
Emotional interference translates into
Eternal decoherance
You are lost to me
On the other side of time
Beyond Causality
I wish it not to be that
Your Peculiar Velocity
Has displaced you in time
That favored future is no longer mine
On the other side of time
Tracing lines, divine
To the other side of time

Gods on the Ground
04:24
|
|||
The old stories, they fascinated me
Retold by believers
Cobbled into scriptures
And sold by deceivers
Some say they even saw
Lights in the sky
Are Giants of Old
The progenitors of fairy-tales?
Could angels ever die?
An artificial Heaven crashing down
Before the primitive eyes of Man
Were they witness to technological visitation?
To gods on the ground?
Or alien angels coming down?
The elders spoke often of giants in the land
Of places we dare not go
Where magical beings made a stand
Where their progeny still grow
Gods on the ground
Feeding and breeding
Is this a heavenly plan?
Humans astounded
Pleading and bleeding
Will this be the end of Man?
Gods on the ground
Paradise fallen
Or broken technology?
Heavenly sounds
Demons come calling
Be not afraid
COME AND SEE...
But now here in the Modern Age
We dismiss these fables out of hand
Until the lights appeared in the heavens
And NORAD Space Command
Said they were stupefied
By scientific observations
And they verified
These were not human creations
An invasion
Not salvation
Motivations beyond our understanding
An alien calamity
Let the primitive beware
Befallen by deities
The Garden unprepared
Be stricken by fables
Come round again
The End Times enabled
Let the Holy Wars begin again

Mirror
06:29
|

I AM - The Mirror
The mirror casts a spell that's never ending
Backtracking through the looking glass
At past calamity
We digress through the paths
That we were tending
Attracted to the very last
Chance for amity
I remember times when you were scared
Of the fallout of redemption
Those caustic suppositions
They dismembered everything we shared
The offspring of intention
Degrading our volition
And now past reflections are all we see
Dark Matter rendering
Gravity Lensing
Measuring ripples in Spacetime
Reality bending
The Multiverse ending
The fruits of our intellect thrive
I need some proof
That you are responding
Reflecting me inside
Whatever we do
From this one point forward
Defines the rest of our lives
I feel the pain of your growing disdain
We can reflect upon a life we never knew
Imagine different outcomes
And dream of things we'll never do
The mirror is the key
To viewing ourselves
From a different perspective
A chance to reflect on a new view
I was only trying to reconcile the loss
While a part of me was dying
I riddled out the cost
I have never been so brave
As to contemplate the ripples
Left in my wake
I feel the Darkness spiraling around me
But then I feel the heat of your mind
I reel in tidal forces
Propagating madness
And seek out the comfort
Of our remembered lives
We mirror the blame
Of DREAMS unchained
Fear the same thing again
A relapse of torment begins
Virtual Particle annihilation
Begets a symmetry yet here we are
Resonance frequencies
We are entwined
Equal and opposite forces react
Frame Dragging references
Slipping away
Resonance frequencies
We are entwined
Quantum Chirality
Spin with me
In the mirror

A New Degree of Freedom
04:27
|
|||
If you are aware of this
And you can intervene
Then why do you not?
We have each lived, loved, and lost
Through conversion or conquest
We have honed the science of eloquence
Methods with a cost
Vociferous and effusive
Assiduous at the core
Such a vapid thing to relay
That you have discovered
Your Heaven has no need of me anymore
Like figs out of season (Mark 11:12)
I’ve a New Degree of Freedom
I was just a Natural Philosopher
Yielding to your dreams
Encircled by Causality
And relishing extremes
I was an apple for the taking
Through subjective validation
From the branches you were shaking I fell
Not by gravitation, but in the wake of your love
“...in secret, have I said nothing.” - Jesus (John 18:20)
If you are aware of this
And you can intervene
Then I’m praying for guidance
In our New Degree of Freedom
Intrinsic contrition
Mimicking intelligence
When all the time it was just
Simple common sense
My relevance vitiated
Through banality and blame
Patently cogent
That nothing will remain
Through this emotional arbitrage
I was waxing eloquent
A Renormalization
I had believed that you were Heaven sent
My reality deceived
Conflating fallacious idioms
I will attenuate my need to believe
The atrophy of imagination
Propitiating in vain
Taming Infinities
In our New Degree of Freedom
If you are aware of this
And you can intervene
Then why do you not?
A whole new set of revelations
Diverging emotional idioms
Much like a Liquid Scintillation
We have a New Degree of Freedom
If you are aware of this
And you can intervene
Then why do you not?

We were caught in the throes of this impractical fiction
Longing for inner peace
A parody of intrinsic contrition
I came to set your mind at ease
In the perennial essence of my best friend
Past Futures ebb and flow
Fear of Loss when contemplating yet another end
Better the devil that you know
Is there a meaningful potential for reconciliation?
Or am I lost in a maze of subjective validation?
I remember your face from the end of time
It was always you
They said even Jesus wept
In the staggering wake of emotive ecstasy
Just as I pled for you to accept
That we were one and the same
With pure equality
Realism or Locality?
Aspects of each other - Complementarity
There are no Hidden Variables
Crushed in the depths of this love-born Singularity
The shadows of inevitability
Occlude the Light Cone of my personal Continuum
In the twilight of this terminal existence lurks
“An Abominable Mystery” - Charles Darwin
Unto thee I come
Better the devil that you know
We Integrate the Constraints of this hierarchical madness
And if fate would be so kind
The last thing I would pray to see
Would be your face at the end of my timeline

Standard Candles
03:53
|
|||
There are flickering moments of clarity
When all I see is you
Candle light across the breadth of your face
An enchanting, timeless view
And then I wonder how high
An angel would fly
For a prayer of a chance to be with you
Feeling alive, I relish all extremes
All but saying goodbye
I continue to strive though youth is fading
Bereaving broken wings as I can still fly
"Sadder still to watch it die
than never to have known it" - Neil Pert of RUSH
I wish upon a special star
To calculate how far away you are
The clockwork of heaven gives us Standard Candles
Blazing forth with assurity
That there’s a ghost of a chance for love to exist
Across the boundless swaths of eternity
Our candle burns at both ends
As referenced by our inertial frames
In our luminous entanglement
We fuel the glowing flames of love
Sadder still
Watch it die
Never have I known this
And then I wonder how high
An angel would fly
For a prayer of a chance to be with you
We should jump at this chance
For timing is everything
Let our heavenly bodies collide
Life in a glance
Experience beckoning
Nothing between us denied
We are alive
And then I wonder how high
An angel would fly
For a prayer of a chance to be with you
